River Crossing YMCA’s story is rooted in people coming together to build something stronger. What began as a merger between Central Bucks and Lower Bucks YMCAs grew to include Upper Bucks, ultimately bringing the entire county under one united organization. As the YMCA later combined with Hunterdon County and, most recently, Greater Valley, that spirit of collaboration only deepened. Today, River Crossing YMCA stands as a cross-state association with one shared mission: to support more families, in more ways, than ever before.
Penn Community Bank is proud to stand alongside River Crossing YMCA. In 2025, we contributed $20,000 and committed another $80,000 over the next four years to support two programs that change lives every day – the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program and the Morrisville YMCA’s Workforce Development Center. These investments open doors for local families, helping children learn, parents work, and communities grow stronger.
For many parents, Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts is more than a preschool program – it’s peace of mind. It provides free, high-quality early learning for eligible three- and four-year olds, giving young learners a foundation that sets them up for success. With nurturing teachers; small classes; and a focus on social, emotional, and academic growth, the program ensures that financial hardship never limits a child’s opportunity to thrive.
The Morrisville community feels this impact in a profound way. For more than three decades, the YMCA has been a steady presence for local families, meeting needs that go far beyond childcare. Nearly all students in Morrisville qualify for free or reduced lunch, and most families in the Child Care Center depend on financial assistance. River Crossing YMCA has been a lifeline – offering early education, culturally responsive support, wellness initiatives, and wraparound services that help families face challenges with resilience and dignity.
When the YMCA purchased the Morrisville building, it was a powerful statement: This community matters, and it deserves a permanent home for opportunity and support. To help bring the YMCA’s vision for a modern, expanded space to life, Penn Community Bank partnered on a renovation initiative that will make room for more children and families, broaden access to educational and wellness programs, and create dedicated spaces for job-readiness and mental health resources.
This work represents far more than financial backing. It reflects a shared belief in what strong communities can accomplish when we invest in one another. Together with River Crossing YMCA, we’re helping ensure that families in Morrisville – and across the region – have the tools, care, and opportunities they need to thrive today and for generations to come.
