Jeane M. Vidoni Honored With Doylestown Rotary Award for Business

Rotary Club of Doylestown honors Penn Community Bank President and CEO with award recognizing leadership in Bucks County business and civic community

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (April 2018) – Penn Community Bank, Bucks County’s leading independent, mutual bank, is proud to announce that President and CEO Jeane M. Vidoni was honored at the Rotary Club of Doylestown’s ninth annual Four-Way Test Awards on April 25.

Vidoni received Rotary’s Four-Way Test Award in the business category, in recognition of her wide variety of volunteer efforts in the community. She serves as Vice Chair of Community Impact at the United Way of Bucks County and represents Penn Community Bank on the boards of several other local organizations, including the Bucks County Opportunity Council and Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County.

“Jeane’s passion for and commitment to service in our community is a shining example of civic and business leadership at its finest,” said Allen Childs, president of Doylestown Rotary. “Under her leadership, Penn Community Bank is a true community partner, working to make Bucks County a great place to live and work.”

Founded in 1905, Rotary International is a volunteer service organization dedicated to creating lasting change in the community. It uses four questions as a guide for moral and ethical standards in business, community, and personal affairs. The four guiding questions are, “Is it the Truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?”

Four-Way Test honorees are chosen based on their dedication to community service and their desire to improve the lives of others. This year, seven adults and three teens were honored as leading examples of those who uphold these values.

Additional award winners included:

• Thomas W. Smith, Jr., Community Service Award for his dedication and service to Doylestown Fire Company.
• Jack W. Schmidt, PhD, Professor of Music and Chair of the Liberal Arts Department at Delaware Valley University, Education Award for his work at Delaware Valley University in bringing people together through music.
• Joan B. Parlee, Chairman of the Hospital Board and the Foundation Board of Doylestown Hospital, Healthcare Award for her work with Medical Staff Auxiliary of Doylestown Hospital and as Chairman of the Hospital Board and the Foundation Board of Doylestown Hospital.
• Sharon Fleck, President of Roxy Therapy Dogs, Not-for-Profit Award for her work with Roxy Therapy Dogs, a therapy animal organization that works with children in Bucks County.
• Mira Nakashima, Artist and Co-owner, George Nakashima Woodworker, Arts and Culture Award for her work in continuing the legacy of her father, famed furniture designer and builder, George Nakashima.
• Lawrence L. Woodson, Consultant and Volunteer, Honorary Rotary Service Award for his extensive volunteer work with Rotary Club of Doylestown.
