Penn Community Bank Hires Team of New Lenders

Experienced financial experts and lenders focus on helping businesses across Bucks and Montgomery counties thrive

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (June 2018) – Penn Community Bank is proud to announce the hiring of four new commercial lenders, expanding its team of financial experts dedicated to helping small business owners across Bucks and Montgomery counties to grow their business.

Together, L. Vincent Roth, III, Karen Lasorda, Jules K. DeLuzio and Beverly Boland bring more than 70 years of experience in commercial lending, along with the knowledge, expertise, and relationships that position Penn Community Bank as the area’s leading financial resource for entrepreneurs and business owners.

“We are fortunate to welcome four lenders with such deep experience in helping the owners of companies of all sizes secure the financial services they need to keep their businesses growing and thriving,” said Derek P.B. Warden, Penn Community Bank Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer. “Our team members and our customers will benefit from their knowledge of the lending industry and their experience in working with businesses from every industry and profession.”

• Roth has extensive experience in lending, most recently serving as senior vice president at a Bucks County-based bank. He worked on developing major accounts for the corporate lending department.

• Lasorda brings nearly two decades of experience as a commercial lender in Bucks County. She is a senior vice president with extensive experience in the industry. A resident of Furlong, she is actively involved in local community organizations, including the Bucks County Economic Development Corp., Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, Doylestown Rotary, and Foundations Community Partnership, where she serves as chairman of the board of directors.

• With more than 25 years in the lending industry, DeLuzio most recently served as vice president, commercial lending for a Philadelphia regional bank, where he oversaw lending to local businesses.

• Most recently serving as a commercial lender for a Bucks County-based bank, Boland is an experienced commercial lender with a history of building client trust and confidence in financial institutions through excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analysis skills.

The hiring of these commercial lenders comes shortly after Penn Community Bank welcomed another leading Bucks County banker, Rick Battaglia, as a Senior Market Leader. A banker in Bucks County for more than 20 years, Battaglia helps drive Penn Community Bank’s growth and development by managing a network of 13 community branch offices and by analyzing the market and identifying new business opportunities.

About Penn Community: Penn Community Bank holds more than $2 billion in assets, employs more than 300 people, and offers banking, lending, insurance and investments at 24 bank branches and two administrative centers throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties, Pennsylvania. As an independent, mutual financial institution, Penn Community Bank is not publicly traded and operates with its long-term mission in mind: to help businesses grow and prosper, to provide financial resources to individuals and families throughout their lifetimes, to strengthen the local economy, and to partner with local organizations to act as a catalyst for positive growth in every market it serves.
